"A street level two-story enclosed court designed in a symmetrical Beaux-Arts style was surmounted by an open lightwell which was surrounded by a ring of offices. By the formal arched entrance on Jackson Boulevard, a large staircase led to shops and a second-floor balcony. White-glazed terracotta sheaths the exterior facade and interior court and the lightwell is lined with white-glazed brick. Classical designs were used for the ornamental dentils, balusters, and column capitals."

During his famous Stanford commencement address, Jobs said the following:

"You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path."

I often look at the people who have achieved certain status quo, values, or lifestyle and wonder how did they connect the dots to reach the place. At the end of those thoughts, it comes down to reassuring myself that I'm one of them, young and in progress.

Knowing that dots only make sense looking backwards but not forwards, it raises the question of what little things I do and what little decisions I make everyday. Most days of the year are unremarkable, but it's hard to deny that each days are the dots that we are laying in our life. This is really hard.

Man and His Symbols.

Reading the Man and His Symbols by C.G. Jung has been a pure pleasure and meaningful experience- perhaps to the level of synchronicity. As much as I appreciate the previous works of Jung, number of texts written by Jung's pupils were intriguing as well in their various applications of the concept of connection between unconscious and symbolism; ancient myths, visual arts, and individual analysis.

Examination of Man and his Symbols is in effect an examination of man's relation to his own unconscious- step towards the process of individuation, which Jung believed is the essence to become whole, integrated, calm, fertile, and happy.
