The temple was located on the remote region of Andong city, North Gyeongsang Province.
It is believed that the temple was first established by Monk Uisang in the year 672.
The last major reconstruction was taken place in 1363 and renovated on 1625 and 1972.
There are hundreds of buddhist temple such as this through out the country.
It could makes you less interested in visiting each one, but the feeling you get from each place is quiet different.
A public bus that connects downtown Andong and the temple only goes in once for every two hours.
When three of us and another lone traveler went in- we came out as a group and spent the rest of the day together.
In between, there was a moment of strangers getting to know each other- with the sound of praying and a wood block
