When I travelled different regions of Korea with my family- I was not so aware of the lifestyle of local people or the character of each city has. Being a child might've been the reason, but I think it was more because the city of Seoul, and especially my neighbourhood, has always been the centre of my universe.
This trip has given me the new vision that I didn't have. Riding on a car always skipped the scenery from place to place- narrowing the eyesight to see the only the things you planned to see. Since I no longer was one of the travellers that are protected under the giant metal bubble- I started to see the city in a very new way. I listened to different topics being talked- in a distinctive accent- on a public bus. I started to see each places in perspectives of locals rather than travellers. Old buildings, unorganized market place and mixed use of land no longer seemed like they were before.
