August 26, 2013.

Last weekend with my family.

-

Many issues that I faced in the past came from the illusion that a moment is going to last forever; that I'll have plenty of chance to spend quality time with my family, that I'll eventually do the things that I thought of doing, that the girl I like would always stay single. A mindset somewhat like the line from Pink Floyd, "You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today".

Though having a life cycle based on flight tickets taught me the importance of appreciation and gratitude. When there is a specific arrival/departure date, you realize the time you have is limited and any given moment can't be taken as granted. Countdown clock starts as soon as passing the arrival gate and you know you are going to end up in the same place as you arrived. Doesn't mean I make the best of each moment in between, but at least constantly trying.
